St Ives Creepy Pasty, A Mermaid On A Mission And The Petulant Pippins

To anyone who is not in the know, St. Ives is a seaside town with a number of beaches right near the end of the south-west tip of the county of Cornwall  in England, which kind of pokes out like a trotter in to the Atlantic Ocean (eventually). It boasts a Tate Art Gallery (think the sugar people) and lots and lots of tourists descending down one main highway that runs through Cornwall, every summer. Artists like the place because the light is supposed to be very pure and good for painting, so there are literally hundreds of paintings done of the place every year and some of these are either sold in little galleries, shops, websites and online marketplaces.

This is actually a very unusual, furry plush St Ives Cornish pasty  and it sits with my other 'plushies'. For us though, it would have to be vegetarian if it was real, as we don't eat meat. The last we heard, the Pippins were hanging out in Hayle, a town near to St Ives, which is famous for swirling whirlpools in the harbour.
