St Ives Creepy Pasty, A Mermaid On A Mission And The Petulant Pippins

To anyone who is not in the know, St. Ives is a seaside town with a number of beaches right near the end of the south-west tip of the county of Cornwall  in England, which kind of pokes out like a trotter in to the Atlantic Ocean (eventually). It boasts a Tate Art Gallery (think the sugar people) and lots and lots of tourists descending down one main highway that runs through Cornwall, every summer. Artists like the place because the light is supposed to be very pure and good for painting, so there are literally hundreds of paintings done of the place every year and some of these are either sold in little galleries, shops, websites and online marketplaces.

This is actually a very unusual, furry plush St Ives Cornish pasty  and it sits with my other 'plushies'. For us though, it would have to be vegetarian if it was real, as we don't eat meat. The last we heard, the Pippins were hanging out in Hayle, a town near to St Ives, which is famous for swirling whirlpools in the harbour.

Pretty Flamingo Has A Pink Neon Night-time Manitou

A festival of happy pink flamingoes flock in to the photograph. as we believe in the Manitoux - where essentially all objects have spirits and the Stone People who were one of the first races on the earth, there should technically be several spirits present in this picture. Manitoba in Canada is named for a Manitou.

Pink Leaves For A Pink Day And A Gold Dandelion Clock

The spirits of the May plants in the garden seemed to be bright and full of joy in these just after dawn photos. It comes light so quickly at this time of year - it is much better when it is dark in the morning for a few hours longer. That way, the owls are still out when the cockerels start to crow. As it is, it is light when it is still night, which makes morning come far too fast.

What's All This Crazy Stuff About Number 28?

I recently saw an interesting passage in a book regarding the number 28.

Apparently 28 is a 'perfect number' and its divisors - which are  - 1, 2, 4,7 and 14, all add up to 28.

In addition, it is the sum of the first five primes. There are exactly 28 convex uniform honeycombs.

The universe is 28 billion light years from edge to edge.

Twenty eight is also a harmonic divisor number, it is a Keith number, as well as the final number in the Kubera Kolam magic square.

I will take 28 a bit further from my own personal knowledge of numbers.

I know that kolams are quite interesting because there is a British version of a kolam called a 'Step Charm' which was used in folk magic in certain areas. a pattern in chalk, flour or cornmeal was etched on or near the outdoor steps of a house to ward off evil. The charm was done in an intricate pattern like a Devil's Snare Trap.

Let us now split 28 in to two and eight.

The number two corresponds with the Kabbalistic letter 'B' and has the emotional tribute of calmness and the material factor of ambition. Two is associated with the sign of Virgo, pink jasper and hyacinths.
The vibratory colour is dark blue which is striped with white and it is also attributed to veiled Isis which corresponds with science. The intellectual attribute of two is the analysing of the thought processes.

Now we go to eight. Eight is well known as the number of infinity but it has much more to offer than that.
Eight corresponds with the Kabbalistic letter H and its divine principle is justice. Its emotional attribute is equilibrium and its intellectual attribute is calculation. Eight is associated with the sign of Capricorn, white onyx and the moonstone. Its vibratory colour is dark brown streaked with white.
Its tarot signification is The Balance, denoting Justice and Equilibrium.

Add two and eight together and it equals 10.

1 + 0 = 1

One is the number in the Tarot of The Magician. It is also sometimes seen as the God Number and the divine principle is dominion over all. The intellectual attribute of one is austerity and the material factor is bureaucracy. One is associated with the planet Mercury and the metal quicksilver. Its vibratory colour is grey and the Kabbalistic letter of one is A.

So the number 28 can also be broken down and transformed when added together in to the number one.
